Celestial Cookies

My first attempt with a chocolate sugar cookie dough…not impressed with the recipe, so I will wait to share the recipe when I find a better one.  The cookies turned out a little dry, but they made for better backdrops during the icing process.  Something about the dark background of the chocolate cookie made it more dramatic.   I have a few other recipes to try until I find the perfect one (like the sugar cookie recipe I found here, I will probably never use another recipe…it’s that good).  The crescent moon and shooting star cutters were from my recent Sur la Table purchase.
